The Meditation Cell of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana organised a session on ‘Power of Sound and Mantra Mediation’ for the students of BCom second semester on 31/05/2022. The resource person for the session was Mr. Deepak Kumar, Motivational Speaker and Life Coach, ISKCON temple. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal, SACCM formally welcomed the resource person. Mr. Deepak started the session by talking about how sound can have a different effect on our body like sound can hurt, can be therapeutic, can be used to cure illness etc. He emphasised on the importance of chanting Hare Krishna Mantra which helps in reducing stress and depression and helps in getting rid of addiction. Further into the session, the speaker along with the students, practiced Sound and Mantra Meditation by chanting Hare Krishna Mantra. The session concluded with a question – answer round in which the students enquired about their doubts from Mr. Deepak Kumar. Overall, it was an enriching and peaceful experience for all. The session was well coordinated by Ms. Swati Gupta and Ms. Richa Jain and student coordinators Arsheen Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, Kanupriya and Sanya Singla.
