Women Development Cell (WDC) and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
SACCM strongly believes that the education devoid of the potential to nurture values loses its heart and soul. Therefore the College is committed to create and maintain a secure environment in which the students can learn without any threat and exploitation. Women Development Cell (WDC) of the College strives to create a gender sensitive campus. The objective of WDC is to promote general wellbeing of female students, female teaching faculty and female sub-staff of the college.
The Cell acts as a facilitator for young women so that they are able to realize their full potential and exercise their active influence on society and its transformation. Under the ‘Gender Equity Promotion Programme’, the WDC of the College organizes various awareness programmes through expert talks on gender sensitization, women empowerment, women rights. WDC also provides a platform to the female students to discuss and deliberate on issues concerning women like women wellness, women entrepreneurship, motivational talks and many more. Moreover, WDC undertakes to organize various guest lectures, wherein female students interact with Female Doctors (gynecologists), Dietitians, Women Entrepreneurs and Motivational speakers.
Besides this, the College has a stringent ‘Policy on Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace’ and also has an ‘Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)’ to look into such matters. SACCM has zero-tolerance for sexual harassment and any act of sexual harassment will invite serious disciplinary action.
