Imbibing Physical Fitness
In order to imbibe physical fitness among students, the College encourages each student to actively participate in sports activities. With this objective, various intra college sports tournaments are organized regularly. The winners of various tournaments are trained to represent College in the University level tournaments. To inculcate the habit of working for physi cal fitness, the College has a unique practice of organizing ‘Run for Fitness’ wherein the whole College participates.
Youth Leadership Camps
To develop leadership qualities among students and to train them for surviving in difficult situations, SACCM students are made to participate in the ‘Youth Leadership Training Camps’ organized by the Department of Youth Welfare, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Youth (Adventure) Camps organized by Sri Aurobindo Education Society at Van Niwas, Bara Pathar, Nainital during the summer vacation. The activities included in the camps are management games, hiking, trekking, yoga, meditation, community work and cultural programmes.
Through such activities, students learn how to be effective team members, understand the importance of physical fitness and disciplined living.
