Women Development Cell of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management (SACCM) in association with the SANJEEVANI life beyond cancer organised a webinar on “Breast Health: An Integral Component of Women Health” for the students of third and fifth semester on 28th October 2021 to observe the cancer awareness month. Dr. Robin Kaushal begins the session by introducing Ms. Florina Singh and Mr. Johan Dax as the resource persons for the session. Ms. Florina started the talk by making students aware about the factors, that cause cancer, its symptoms and diagnosis. She emphasised on the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, right breathing pattern, and mindful eating to reduce the chances of cancer. She also discussed the techniques to control mental stress and anger that could also lead to growth of abnormal cells in the body thereby causing cancer. Then, Mr. Johan discussed the importance of a healthy social support circle to support the victims of cancer and what to do and what not to do to boost their mental health. The session was followed by a quiz where the audience participated with full enthusiasm. In end Dr. Robin Kaushal extended vote of thanks to the resource persons. Overall, it was a fruitful session.
