SACCM organized an industrial visit for the students of B.Com 4th semester to Harisar Papers Pvt. Ltd. with an aim to impart practical exposure to the students regarding the subjects taught in the course. A group of 48 students went there along with Prof. Jinesh Jain and Prof. Amarjit Kaur. The Managing Director of the organization, S. Sukhvir Singh Jassar welcomed the students with zeal and unparalleled hospitality. He demonstrated and explained all the processes comprehensively and solved the queries of the students patiently. They showed the process where waste cardboards are used for recycling purposes to improve environmental balance. The students learnt the process of Paper manufacturing, which offered the students an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, and observation of working methods and employment practices. It provided the students with exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught in their college classrooms. It provided the students with a much-needed break from the usual theory classes, and students got a chance to engage in fun learning. The students got an opportunity to learn something outside the four walls of their college. Such interactions are useful to students in their career and help them in developing leadership qualities, management skills, and learn about the industry working. The students also visited a stud farm owned by the same proprietors and gained knowledge about various other things. Principal Prof. Vishal Kumar appreciated the endeavour of the faculty and asked students to make a detailed report on their learning.
