On 7th April, 2022 the MUN Society of SACCM, Ludhiana, has inaugurated its two day 6th Intra College MUN Conference. The conference aims at providing a unique opportunity to the students to be diplomats and represent various portfolios and put forward their viewpoint in a formal and diplomatic manner. The conference drew attention to fundamental issues of global importance through two United Nations Committees i.e. United Nations Human Rights Commission (Humans are the sole sufferers; Egoistic wars leave behind) and All India Political Party Meet (Freedom of speech and expression with special emphasis on laws like Sedition, UAPA.).
Dr. Marinal Gupta, MUN faculty co-ordinator addressed the audience with the history of MUN in SACCM and expressed her gratitude to the former Executive Board members for setting the foundation of this activity in the college and for gracing today’s occasion with their presence. The Chief Guest for the inaugural day was Prof (Dr.) Avtar Singh, Principal, GTB National College, Dakha. The Principal of the college, Prof (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, accentuated on the significance of MUN Conference in enhancing learning, and level of exposure of students with regard to issues of national and international importance. Prof (Dr.) Avtar Singh stated that MUN conferences are opportunities to practice research, public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and writing skills in a safe and structured environment. Dr. Priya Manchanda, MUN faculty co-ordinator presented vote of thanks.
After the inaugural session, the delegates started the technical session at their respective premises. The Conference was well co-ordinated by Dr. Marinal Gupta, Dr. Priya Manchanda and Dr. Dilraj Kaur.
