Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management (SACCM), Ludhiana, organized an extension lecture on the theme “Reinventing Human Resource Management in Industry 4.0” on 24th May, 2022 for the students of B.Com 4th and 6th Semester under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar, Principal of the college. The speaker of the session was Colonel (Dr.) B.S. Kullar, Town Administrator, Mathura Cantt.
Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, formally welcomed the speaker. He stated that the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is blurring the lines between people and technology, fusing the physical, digital and biological worlds.
Colonel B.S. Kullar accentuated that Industry 4.0 will transform every phase of the process, from production to distribution, distribution to marketing, and will encompass radical innovations within the organization, and human Resource Management metrics is another area that is being affected by the dawn of industry 4.0. He also talked about the effect of digital disruption which can be felt across all corporate functions with special emphasis on Human Resource Management Function, as it will impact employee roles in terms of health, mobility, working hours, and personal life. He also threw light upon some of the key components of Industry 4.0 like NLP Chatbots, Blockchains, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Personifwy, Hyper Personalisation etc. The lecture was well co-ordinated by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Priya Manchanda and Dr. Aashish Garg. Dr. Priya Manchanda presented vote of thanks. The session turned out to be very interactive and informative.
