The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, organised a webinar on “Skill Sets required to sustain in Banking and Finance sector: A rendezvos with reality” for the students of B.COM and BBA final year. The resource person for the session was Mr. Kanwaljit Singh, Founder and CEO, Poshprofs Trainer. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar (Principal, SACCM) formally welcomed the speaker, and he acquainted the gathering with the importance of skill sets for Industry in the present times. He further stressed that in order to get a good job in this business world one needs to develop and strengthen their skills to the utmost. Dr. Pooja Mehta coordinated the entire webinar. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh, the eminent speaker, emphasized on the gap between demand and supply of employable people. He urged the students to develop effective communication skills, technical skills (excel, word, powerpoint), confidence and practical exposure which would help them to adapt to challenging roles in the future and increase their chances of employability. He motivated and inspired the students to enroll for skill enhancing Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance, and Insurance which should comprise a comprehensive modules for Banking Operations, Insurance Management and Advanced Business Communication. The webinar was quite informative and engaging. It was followed by question-and-answer session. In the end, Dr. Jaspreet Kaur expressed her gratitude towards the guest.
