The NSS unit of Sri Aurobindo college of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana in association with Decathlon sports India, celebrated International Yoga Day during One Day NSS camp on 21st June,2022. About 50 students and 30 faculty members participated in the event. The students reported at 6:45 AM in comfortable clothes. The session started at 7 AM under the guidance of Ms. Kavya Jain, a certified yoga coach. She told the students the benefits of practicing yoga everyday. It was a very relaxing and calming session.

After practicing yoga, the students and faculty members had their breakfast arranged by the college. This was followed by a session on calmness and stress management, “Calm pe Kaam”, conducted by Ms Falak Verma. She explained the students to be calm in every situation and never use their anger destructively. It was a mindful session that gave the students many fruitful insights.

Next, a First aid Training session was conducted by Fortis hospital held under Dr. Manendar Kumar Singla, additional director and H.O.D Department of cardiac anaesthesia. The session was very helpful for the students as they got to know about the first-aid they can give to any victim if such a situation arises.

Then the NSS volunteers organised   chhabeel seva at B.R.S. Nagar Gurudwara, Ludhiana.

The main aim of this event was to give the students’ knowledge about Yoga, health, calmness, first-aid and inculcate a feeling of social service. Principal Prof (Dr.) Vishal Kumar motivated the students to participate in such activities to increase their social quotient. Mr. Jinesh Jain, Ms. Sarita Arora and Ms. Esha Jain coordinated the event
