Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised the much-needed lecture for the modern generation on the topic When Going Gets Tough on August 11, 2021. The speaker of day was Dr. Sarabjeet Singh, Professor in Department of Agricultural Journalism, Languages and Culture, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.

Dr. Leenu Anand introduced the luminary speaker. Dr. Marinal Gupta, Officiating Principal, formally welcomed Dr. Sarabjeet Singh. Dr. Singh said that life is not a bed of roses. One must learn the art of managing the toughs of life. He said that people have the tendency to say that they are doing fine… the question is… are they really fine? Pains and problems are inevitable but to be miserable is optional. He said that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. As situation becomes difficult, be resilient. Resilient people do not dwell on the negative, they look for opportunities.

The celebrated Prof. Kept his lecture straight and simple but the way he apparelled it, simply gave hypnotic touch to it. That was the reason that number of students and even the faculty listened to it with rapt attention. As the lecture was interactive, it became engrossing and involving. In his lecture, the erudite professor acquainted his listeners with the secrets of inner happiness. He concluded the lecture by stating that blind materialistic pursuits could never be the way to true bliss.
