Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management in collaboration with ICT Academy, organized a virtual power seminar on ‘Impact of Blockchain on Business World’.
Mr. Kamlesh Singh, State Head Academic Operations ICT Academy; Mr. Abhishek Bhattacharya, Co- Founder Whrrl and Mr. Karan Sharma, Lead Technical Writer APPWRK IT solutions Pvt. Ltd were the intellectual speakers in this seminar.
The seminar started with the Inaugural Speech by Mr. Kamlesh Singh. Followed with the detailed introduction of Blockchain technology by Mr. Abhishek Bhattacharya. Citing the practical examples of Blockchain usage by Insurance and other industries, Mr. Abhishek explained why this technology is now essential for the businesses. Fragile Centralized databases, trust issues and scams happening due to manipulations in data bases are few reasons which make this technology inevitable.
Mr. Abhishek advised students that Blockchain Technology can also be a good career option as well.
Citing that the technology needs to be simple, our second Keynote speaker Mr. Karan Sharma stressed on the digital transformation and explained the practical utility of hack proof blockchain technology. Mr. Sharma advised students to learn to write smart contracts and build dapps.
Dr. Leenu Anand and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Assistant Professors, Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, moderated and coordinated this virtual power seminar.
