With an objective to give an overview of the career prospects in human resource management, a guest lecture on the topic “Career prospects in HR” was organized by Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana on 27-07-2021. Dr. Deepak Jain, AGM, Hero steels limited, Ludhiana made the students aware about the wider career prospects from them. The session stimulated the insights on the importance and functioning of HR field in India. Students also got information about the current job trends, career prospects and skill set required in the field. Dr Deepak spoke eloquently about different career options in the HR field like, HR business partners, HR Entrepreneur, Learning and development professional, Performance and competency developer, and HR Legal compliance professional. He further emphasised that students should go for globally recognised HR certifications such as Specialised certified professional or Certified professional. Overall, it was very fruitful session which was attended by more than 100 students.
