Examination Rules for Annual Classes

  1. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPEARING IN ANNUAL UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS (AS PER UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES)
    In order to be eligible, a student

      1. is required to attend at least 75% of the lectures delivered (the teaching days to be counted up to the last day of the session when the classes break up for preparatory holidays).
      2. has to score the minimum pass marks in house examinations prescribed by University i.e. 35%, 40% and 50% marks in B Com, BBA and B Com Honours Courses respectively in each subject during the two house examinations separately.
      3. has to obtain minimum pass marks in internal assessment, as prescribed by university i.e 40% per subject in BBA course.
    IN CASE ANY STUDENT FAILS TO FULFIL ANY OF THE ABOVE STATED ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS, HE/SHE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR IN UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS.
  2. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION
    Under Annual system of evaluation, the knowledge acquired by the student is tested at regular intervals of time. Continuous evaluation of the learning assimilated is tested through both formative and summative assessment tools. The following tools are used to evaluate the performance of the students in the order given below:

    1. First Term Tests- These are internal in nature and will be held after a period of about two months of the start of the session. Some of the important features of First Term Tests are as under:
      1. Term Test will a three hour test covering almost half of the prescribed syllabus.
      2. It shall carry maximum of 80 marks per subject. Minimum score required to pass in B Com, BBA and B COM Hons’ is 35%, 40% and 50% respectively in each subject with the same percentage in aggregate of all subjects.
      3. In case of failure to achieve the minimum score as specified above, no second chance will be given to the student for improving his/her internal assessment and internal assessment will be marked strictly on the basis of score obtained by him in the said test.
      4. As term tests are compulsory, unauthorized absence from the test will fetch zero credit
    2. Second Term Tests- These are Internal in nature and will be held after a period of about four months of the start of the session. Some of the important features of First Term Tests are as under:
      1. Term Test will be a three hour test covering almost half of the prescribed syllabus.
      2. It shall carry maximum of 80 marks per subject. Minimum score required to pass in B Com, BBA and B COM Hons’ is 35%, 40% and 50% respectively in each subject in second Term Test with the same percentage in aggregate of all subjects in First and Second Term Tests.
      3. In case of failure to achieve the minimum score as specified above, no second chance will be given to the student for improving his/her internal assessment and internal assessment will be marked strictly on the basis of score obtained by him in the said test.
        1. As term tests are compulsory, unauthorized` absence from the test will fetch zero credit
    3. Assignment/ Project work- Project Work is internal in nature and will be held after a period of five months of the start of the session. It will be compulsory for each student to submit his/her project work for each subject, failing which he/she will fetch zero credit as a weightage for assignment in internal assessment.
    4. Annual Examination- These are external in nature and will be final University examination of the session for the assessment of the students and will be conducted by the University itself in the month of April. Minimum score required to pass in B Com is 35% whereas in case of BBA, it is 40% in each subject separately as well as jointly with internal assessment.
  3. INTERNAL ASSESSMENT – WEIGHTAGE OF MARKSB.Com/BBA IIIrd Year Internal Assessment carries a 20% weightage of the total marks in each subject. The details of which are:
