Edu Talk Club

Innovation is the cornerstone of sustained economic growth and prosperity. Keeping this thought as its focal point, it is proposed that the College will form Edu Talk Club to empower the students to generate, brainstorm and implement ideas to develop business skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.                

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. To make the students envision innovative ideas, solve problems with novelty, exercise collective wisdom and get the best brains to brainstorm with management approach.
  2. To increase awareness of the students regarding the current business environment through education and professional opportunities, network-building with alumni and industry representatives, and showcasing creative talent and artistic diversity, and
  3. For other purposes which may be beneficial for the students’ scholastic and non-scholastic performance.

MEMBERSHIP

  1. The membership will be open to all the students, who abides by the Rules of the College.
  2. Any student who seeks membership shall be required to apply on a prescribed form. Each member shall have to pay a subscription fee of INR 100/- per semester to the Club.
  3. The alumni of the college can become part of the club as a member / mentor, with the permission of the competent authority.

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

  1. A member shall cease to be the member of the Club, if he/she is not on the rolls of the College.
  2. If any member contravenes any objectives / rules of the club, the Executive Committee can terminate membership of such member.
  3. If any member of the Executive Committee continuously remains absent for three times (without prior written approval of the Student Coordinator and/or Member Secretary) from the meeting of the Executive Committee, he/she would cease to be its member automatically.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee consists of ten members which will be formed as under:

  1. Student Coordinator
  2. Member Secretary
  3. Executive Members (Four) – Out of Students who are on rolls of the College and who have registered themselves as members of the ‘SACCM Edu Talk Club’
  4. Executive Members (Two) – Alumni
  5. Public Relation Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE OFFICE BEARERS

STUDENT COORDINATOR

He/she shall call for and preside over the meetings of the Club.

MEMBER SECRETARY

  • He/she will act as ‘Student Coordinator’ in the absence of the ‘Student Coordinator’.
  • He/she will maintain the records of the Club.
  • He/she will prepare and finalize the agenda of the meeting of the Club.
  • He/she will record the proceedings of the meeting of the Club.
  • He/she will be Executive Officer of the Club and shall be responsible for the management and administration of the Club.
  • He/she will do all the correspondence on behalf of the club.

EXECUTIVE MEMBER

  • He/she will arrange for the speakers / resource persons for various sessions meant for the students.
  • He/she will ensure that all the payments are duly made out of the funds collected, on the instructions of the Coordinator of the club.
  • He/she will maintain account of the income / expenditure of the Club.

 PUBLIC RELATION OFFICER (PRO)

  • He/she will arrange for sponsorships from outside.
  • He/she will liaison with the alumni, business leaders, industry participants, media (for invitation and press release) etc.

 QUORUM

50% members shall constitute the quorum.

SACCM Edu Talk Club
