Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and management organised a 7-day N.S.S. camp which started on 5th August,2021 and was concluded on 11th August. A total of 42 students volunteered for the camp and participated in various activities held during the 7 days. The camp was organised to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo. Each day at camp started with a practice of morning prayer to get the blessings of the almighty. Eye check-up camp, Orthopaedic Camp, tree plantation drive, and cleanliness drives were held in two of the adopted villages.  Informative sessions on climate change, fire safety, Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy, sustainable development, happiness secrets and positive attitude were held. Visits to Govind Gau Dham, Sai Dham and Swami Vivekanand Meditation pyramid were held. Know your village survey was also held in adopted villages by students to solve the problems of the community. All the activities at camp were oriented to inculcate the feeling of “NOT ME, BUT YOU” in volunteers. Closing ceremony included cultural activities for the sub-staff of the college and experience sharing session was held. Officiating Principal Dr. Marinal Gupta, congratulated the volunteers and teachers for the successful completion of the event and motivated them to work selflessly to make the society a better place to live and also guided the students to use the resources judiciously. The day ended with conclusion of a wonderful 7 Days N.S.S. Camp where volunteers not only served the society selflessly but also inspired others to do so.
