The SACCM TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS INCUBATOR (TBI) conducted a state level inter-college competition “IDEATHON” in the college campus on 14th October, 2022 and the worthy Padma Bhushan Awardee, Shri S. P. Oswal, officially unveiled the SACCM TBI website. Prof. (Dr) Vishal Kumar, the Principal of the college formally welcomed the revered judges and the selected teams. He discussed the importance of entrepreneurship in the era of dynamism. He also highlighted that the SACCM Technology Business Incubator will foster entrepreneurial spirit among budding entrepreneurs by providing them mentoring, technical assistance, seed funding, access to angel investors, etc,. The competition, “IDEATHON” was organized for the students who wish to start their own venture and grab the market opportunities in this innovative world. Entries of teams from various colleges with business proposals were invited. Various teams from different colleges had sent their business proposals, out of which, six teams were given a chance to present their business idea in front of the judges, Dr. Arvind Dhingra (Executive Director, Science & Technology Entrepreneurs’ Park, Ludhiana) and Dr. Munish Jindal (Founder and CEO, HoverRobotix). All the shortlisted teams shared their start-up ideas from diverse areas ranging from health, energy and sustainability. The first and second prize winning teams, SEEKERS, and CURA LLP & W were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 5100 and Rs. 3100, respectively along with trophies by Sh. S P Oswal, Chairman of the College & Vardhman Group. The award distribution ceremony was also graced with the presence of Mr. Sachit Jain (Vice Chairman, Vardhman Special Steels Ltd.), and Ms. Sagrika (Executive Director, Vardhman Textiles Ltd.). At the end, the Incubation Cell coordinator Dr. Marinal Gupta extended the vote of thanks to Judges for gracing the occasion.
