Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar extended the floral welcome to the dignitaries. He asserted that thesession provides a comprehensive and insightful roadmap for budding entrepreneurs of SACCM to establish and elevate themselves as future entrepreneurs in the competitive business landscape.Mr. Hemant, the resource person,is an enthusiastic entrepreneur, avid reader, risk-taker who left a stable government job to pursue his dreams. He shared his journey and conveyed to students that report cards do not ensure the success in the dynamic world of business. He established that self-image and belief in oneself as key parameters of the successful entrepreneurship journey. He introduced the conversation by defining a startup as an entrepreneurial venture with exponential growth potential. Emphasizing the importance of selecting the right product, he outlined a four-step guide to evaluate sales potential, product-market fit, market organization, and the significance of the inflection point. Examples from startups like Airbnb, Zerodha, and Zepto supported his points.

Dr. Jyoti Thakur led the second half, focusing on the concept of a minimum viable product (MVP) and establishing it at the lowest cost in initial stages. She highlighted the role of a well-chosen business model in success, stressing the importance of self-motivation as the backbone of the startup journey. Failures, she noted, should be viewed as life lessons rather than obstacles.

Mr. Hemant concluded, underscoring that 98% of decisions are type 1—failures won’t alter existing lives. He urged overcoming procrastination and implementing decisions with minimal risk. The audience engaged in a brief, intriguing discussion, seeking expert advice for challenges faced by budding entrepreneurs.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Leenu Anand, Ms. Esha Jain, Mr. Vinay Dawar and Ms. Parul Sood.
