The Mental Health and Wellness Club of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management conducted a session titled “Yoga Nidra for Deep Relaxation and Emotional Reset.” On 8th April 2026 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The primary objective of the session was to help students experience deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra and understand its role in reducing stress, enhancing concentration, and restoring emotional balance. A total of 20 students participated in the session. The session commenced with an introduction by the college yoga expert, who explained the concept of Yoga Nidra as a state of conscious relaxation that helps calm the mind and release accumulated mental and physical tension.

Subsequently, the yoga expert guided students through a structured Yoga Nidra practice, incorporating breath awareness, body scan techniques, and visualization. The session emphasized the importance of relaxation in improving focus, especially during exams, and highlighted how regular practice can enhance memory, reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality, and promote overall well-being.

Overall, the session provided a calming and refreshing experience, equipping students with practical tools for relaxation and stress management. The participants responded very positively, expressed great appreciation for the session, and showed keen interest in incorporating these practices into their daily routine.
