Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized a session on ‘Identifying Your Interest Area’ under Shape The Mind Programme on 15th February 2023. The esteemed speaker for the session was Dr. Avtar Singh, Principal, Guru Tegh Bahadur National College, Dakha. Dr. Marinal Gupta, Registrar, SACCM, extended a formal welcome to the resource person. In his address, the speaker mentioned that many times decisions are taken by others, and not by self. He advised that one should build competencies so that decisions can be taken independently. He also discussed the parameters which could be used for judging one’s abilities such as linguistics, digital, spiritual, interpersonal, etc. He emphasized that one should decide about career prospects after taking into consideration one’s strengths and abilities. The resource person cited various examples to explain his point of view. The session was very informative and lively.
