Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management on August 13, 2026, held a documentary screening on the life and teachings of Sri Aurobindo in The Mother Auditorium under the aegis of the Sri Aurobindo Society of the college. The screening was specially organised for the newly admitted students of the college, with all first-semester students from various streams.

The programme commenced with a warm wishes of the principal, Dr. Vishal Kumar, who extended greetings to all the students and encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity to learn about the life, philosophy, and vision of Sri Aurobindo. Mr. Sahil Ghai acquainted the audience with the aims and objectives of the Sri Aurobindo Society. He highlighted the Society’s efforts towards spreading the ideals, teachings, and vision of Sri Aurobindo.

This was followed by the screening of a documentary based on the life and journey of Sri Aurobindo. The documentary provided the students with an insightful glimpse into his remarkable life, philosophy, and contribution to the nation and humanity. The students watched the film with keen interest and enthusiasm.

The session concluded with Ms. Amandeep Kaur further elaborating on the purpose and significance of the Sri Aurobindo Society. She encouraged the students to engage with the Society’s activities and benefit from its message of holistic development. She also expressed her gratitude to the principal, faculty members, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the screening. The event served as an enriching orientation for the new students, introducing them to the life and vision of Sri Aurobindo while familiarising them with the objectives and activities of the Sri Aurobindo Society. Ms. Veenu Verma and Ms. Sheena Sharma lent their wholehearted cooperation for the successful culmination of the event.
