Career Guidance and Placement Cell and Alumni Association of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management in collaboration with IMS, Ludhiana conducted a session on Acing Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Ms Navnoor kaur, Mr. Angadbir Sibia and Mr. Danish Kapoor, a proud alumnus of SACCM presided over the session. Worthy Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar presented a floral welcome to all the alumni. He stated that these are the sessions in which professional skills are groomed and strategized for future success. All the alumni shared their experiences of various B-schools and appraised the audience of the various kinds of fears a candidate has while appearing in Group discussions and personal interviews. The mock group discussion was also conducted on the topic “The Union Budget 2023-24 and its Impact on the Indian Economy.” Mr Munish Dewan, the director of IMS, Ludhiana, also shared some insightful tips on GDs and PIs with the students. After the conclusion of the group discussion, the experts appraised the students of their strengths and weaknesses while appearing in GD. This real-life experience helped students to understand the requisites of appearing in a GD. The event was coordinated by the Faculty coordinators Mr Sanjay Gupta, Dr Aashish Garg, Mr. Neeraj Bansal, and Mr Ashish Bajaj. Principal, Prof (Dr.) Vishal Kumar encouraged students to participate in such events in order to broaden their exposure to the corporate world.
