NSS unit in collaboration with Women Development Cell of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management (SACCM), Ludhiana, organized a Health talk on the theme “Breast Cancer: Myths and facts” in college campus on 4th February 2023 for its students. Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar, Principal of the college formally welcomed the speaker of the session Dr. Anish Bhatia, MBBS, MS (General Surgery), DrNB (Surgical Oncology), Associate consultant- Surgical Oncology. Doctor informed the attendees about the causes, types, prevention, and cure of the disease. He attempted to break the myths related to breast cancer and emphasised on screening for cancer detection. He talked at length about self-examination, clinical examination and mammography and threw light on possible treatments of the disease. The health talk was co-ordinated by Ms. Sarita Arora and Dr. Leenu Anand. By the end of the session, questions were raised by the students and satisfactorily answered by the expert.
