Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana
has conducted an extension lecture on the topic “Entrepreneurship & You”. The Keynote speaker was Prof. Rajiv Jain, Assistant Professor, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Rohini. The lecture started with the inaugural speech by revered principal Prof. (Dr) Vishal Kumar in which he formally welcomed the speaker of the day. He advised students to pursue a career in entrepreneurship because it is more rewarding than traditional job searching especially post COVID-19. He further laid emphasis on the initiatives undertaken by the Govt. of India to create start-up ecosystem in the country. Then, the guest speaker Prof. Rajiv Jain took over and lead the session. He focused upon the emerging trend in the field of entrepreneurship and how to think of unique ideas and develop them into profitable ventures. He gave real- life examples of successful entrepreneurs who have changed the way we live and the way we perceive things. He pondered upon the fact that the key element in the success of every entrepreneurial venture is innovation and continuous evolution. The session was organized by faculty coordinators Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Aashish Garg, and Dr. Priya Manchanda. The principal of the college congratulated the organizing committee for conducting such an informative session. He said that such sessions provide motivation and add to the knowledge of the students.
