On the 6th day of NSS Camp, a hands-on session on first aid and basic life support was conducted by Dr. Manender Kumar MBBS from Fortis hospital, Ludhiana. It focused on how to provide first aid in wounds, bleeding, musculoskeletal injury, burns, poisoning, bites, drowning, fainting, seizures, and unconsciousness. He also familiarised the volunteers about recognition of signs of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke and how to tackle such a situation. Proper first aid always comes across as a big respite when handling different health and medical emergencies. Besides saving the injured person’s life, it helps make the recovery process faster, saves huge healthcare costs, and prevents the likelihood of injury from getting worse.

The NSS Unit of SACCM coordinated a free Eye Examination Camp for the occupants of Village Jhande. The group of specialists from Dr. Ramesh Super speciality Eye and Laser Center banded together with College NSS Unit for this Social Cause. The camp was coordinated fundamentally to make mindfulness among individuals for donating eyes so they can help the people who are deprived from seeing this delightful world. Different activities like eye care training, full eye examination, free medicines were additionally distributed to the inhabitants of the Village. The camp pointed toward giving free discussion and treatment to the residents experiencing eye care problems. More than 50 people were benefitted from this camp.

In the afternoon session tree plantation drive  was carried out. 50 Saplings were planted in  government school and the near by areas of village Jhande. NSS volunteers collected the unused books from the teachers at the college and distributed to the needy students of the college. The day ended with the applause and motivation for the volunteers from principal Prof. (Dr) Vishal Kumar.
