The Students of B. Com 5th Semester of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management along with the teacher coordinators Dr Meenu Singla and Dr Jinesh Jain visted Hero E-Bikes Unit situated in Hi Tech E-Cycle Valley, Dhanasu, Ludhiana as an exposure to sync the Classroom Learning to understand the manufacturing process of electronic bicycles. Hero is among the top industry leaders globally and is in the market for five decades. The students were provided with an overview of the journey of Hero Group since 1950 till date by experienced employees of varied departments and the production process was exhibited through the plant visit. Active participation was observed by the students and queries raised were handled satisfactorily by the officials Mr Ambik Dubey, Ms Pradeep, Mr Dilkhush, Mr Surjit. The officials enlightened the students on various aspects relating to the assembly line process including packaging for different countries, logistics management, health and safety protocols, environment safety, cost optimisation with the upcoming plants in the Hi-Tech E- Cycle Valley and the impact of new Joint Ventures of Hero Group with the MNCs. The objective of the visit was well attained with a successful attempt to bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical orientation. Students expressed their sincere gratitude to the Management and Principal, Dr Vishal Kumar for providing an opportunity for industrial interactions. Dr. Kumar acknowledged the learning inquisitiveness of the students and appreciated the subject coordinator Dr Meenu Singla for industrial acclimatisation and inputs in context to the subjects Production and Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Health and Safety Management. Industrial visit coordinators Dr Jinesh Jain and Dr Meenu Singla were acknowledged for the constant efforts to enhance impactful learning. Participants delightedly expressed their excitement for their practical learning and appreciated the awareness of new developments in promoting eco-friendly initiatives.
