An industrial visit to Avon Cycles was organized for the students of B.Com. 1A (Group 2), M.Com. 1 and M.Com. 3 with the objective of providing them with practical exposure to industrial operations and enabling them to understand the application of classroom concepts in a real-world business environment. Mr. Deepak Jain, Vice President, HR department warmly welcomed the students.
The students were introduced to various aspects of the business operations of Avon Cycles, with emphasis on understanding the manufacturing process, production activities, quality control, inventory management, distribution, marketing and other operational functions. The visit provided students with an opportunity to observe how different business functions are integrated to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of a large-scale manufacturing enterprise.
The visit served as an enriching experiential learning opportunity, allowing students to interact with the industrial environment and broaden their understanding beyond the classroom. The students actively participated in the visit and showed keen interest in understanding the functioning of the organization and the practical challenges involved in managing industrial operations.
The visit was accompanied by Ms. Esha Jain, who facilitated the students throughout the industrial visit and coordinated their interaction with the industry representatives. The Principal Dr. (Prof.) Vishal Kumar appreciated the industry cell and motivated students to be participative in these drives stating that such industry-academia engagement initiatives provide students with meaningful exposure to professional practices and help prepare them for the demands of the corporate and business environment.
