The 3rd Day of 7 Day NSS Camp of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management was wholeheartedly dedicated to the Theme of ‘Fit India & Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. A session was delivered by Dr Jaspreet Singh, DM Endocrinology from Fortis Hospital on the topic “Diabetes in Young”. He sensitized the volunteers about the so common and vulnerable disease of Diabetes.  He further appraised the volunteers about the reasons for this disease and how they can avoid this disease just by altering their life style. He gave a formula to the students that says- Half plate of colourful vegies, one-fourth plate of carbohydrates and one-fourth plate of proteins in their daily meals to keep themselves fit and free from diseases.

On the theme of ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ Ms Gurpreet Kaur, Head, Clean Air Punjab (Ecosikh), delivered an interactive session on air pollution. She emphasized the students to curtail the use of plastic in their daily lives, plant more trees and prefer public transport whenever possible to avoid air pollution. Volunteers were encouraged to actively participate in MIYAWAKI project and to take initiatives which would contribute towards a clean and green India. Principal Prof. (Dr) Vishal Kumar encouraged the volunteers to be part of this campaign and contribute their bit to make Punjab a cleaner place to live.
