Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management on May 10, 2019 observed Ground Breaking ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) for initiating the works relating to the Mother Auditorium which is sponsored by the Vardhman Group under its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. Such an auditorium is primarily for catering the needs of the academic community. The Chairman of the Vardhman Group Sh. SP Oswal performed the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony. Mrs. Suchita Jain, Vice-Chairperson, Vardhman Textiles along with her daughter Ms Saumya Jain too graced the occasion. Mr. DL Sharma, Director Vardhman Textiles, Dr. SP Singh and Mrs. Manjit Sodia, the esteemed members of the college Managing Committee, were also present, and expressed their sense of joy for this CSR project of Vardhman Group.
Dr. Sushil Kumar, Director SACCM, formally welcomed the guests. He explained about the upcoming auditorium, and expressed his deep sense of buoyancy over the fact that the auditorium that is going to be would be of the international standards and be amongst the best auditoriums in the region. This auditorium would be equipped with the modern state of the Art, lighting and acoustic for making the visual and auditory experience for excellence.
On this occasions, all the members of faculty of SACCM, the members of CSR Team, Civil Team of Vardhman and architectures were also present.
Sh. SP Oswal, the Chairman, said that he didn’t open this college to be run in an ordinary way. This college which is on the name of Sri Aurobindo, is his dream, vision and mission that aims at serving the society. He said, this college does not merely teach books to the students but we make the students philosophically, ecclesiastically, morally, socially, linguistically and physically sound. He further said, that discipline is the hallmark of this college. During his address, he reveled that the upcoming auditorium will be named The Mother Auditorium.
Principal Dr. RL Behl thanked everyone for attending the event. He assured that the college will keep on doing good to the students and the society at large.
