The Alumni Association, in collaboration with the Technology Business Incubator (TBI), organised a session titled “From Ideas to Impact: Building Brands and Creating Legacies” on 20 August 2026, offering students practical insights into entrepreneurship, business management, customer behaviour and professional growth. The session featured Mr. Anubhav Grewal, CEO of Bakefresh, Venoí and Vani Foods, who spoke about his entrepreneurial journey across Australia and India.

Mr. Grewal recounted his early career in Australia, including his time working at retail stores such as David Jones, which shaped his understanding of customer purchase patterns and loyalty. Urging students to never give up, he highlighted perseverance and the value of strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. He also described how he scaled his mother’s business through structured delegation and HR practices, noting that systems are the foundation of any organisation.

He shared details of Bakefresh’s new production facility at Ladhowal and its B2B dessert supply partnerships with established resorts, alongside employee welfare measures such as Provident Fund and performance bonuses. His guiding philosophy—“What you love + What society needs + What pays = What you should do”—gave students a practical framework for career decisions. He also spoke about Bakefresh’s expansion into education through Bakefresh International School, an ISO-approved baking institute.

Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal, emphasised the importance of learning from real-world entrepreneurial experiences, developing a systems-oriented mindset and continuously adapting to the changing business environment. The session gave students real-world perspective on entrepreneurship, customer behaviour, HR management and business systems, reinforcing the value of resilience and continuous learning.
