The NSS Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management actively participated in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a nationwide campaign launched by the Government of India to promote a drug-free society. As part of the initiative, NSS volunteers conducted a pledge drive across the college campus on 04-08-2026 to encourage students to commit themselves to a life free from substance abuse.
The volunteers visited each classroom and briefed students about the objectives of the campaign. A collective Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge was administered, reaffirming the commitment of students towards building a healthy, drug-free nation.
Following the pledge, the volunteers guided students through the online registration process. Participants scanned the designated QR code to access the official My Bharat portal and completed the registration using the prescribed referral code and successfully took the online pledge. Upon completion, participants downloaded their digital certificates.
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from students reflecting the institution’s collective commitment to the vision of a Drug-Free India. The drive not only created awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse but also motivated participants to become ambassadors of the campaign by encouraging others to take the pledge.
The Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar appreciated the dedicated efforts of the NSS volunteers for effectively coordinating the awareness drive and ensuring maximum participation across the campus.
