An industrial visit to Octave Apparel was organized for the students of B.Com. I on 6 August 2026 with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to the various aspects of business operations, manufacturing, marketing, retailing, and supply chain management. The visit provided students with an opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts taught in the classroom and their practical application in the industry. The students were warmly welcomed at Octave Apparel, where Mr. Yuvraj Arora, Owner of Octave Apparel, personally took the initiative to interact with the students and explain the complete business process, from manufacturing to retailing. Mr. Arora provided valuable insights into the company’s growth journey and explained how Octave Apparel has expanded its retail presence to more than 400 stores across India and has established its presence in over 10 countries. He elaborated on the company’s expansion strategy and explained how its extensive network of retail outlets is managed and coordinated across different geographical locations. The students gained practical understanding of several important business functions, including manufacturing processes, retail operations, distribution, supply chain management, expansion strategies, and management of retail outlets. The interactive session helped students understand how various concepts of commerce and management are implemented in a real-world business environment. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Robin Kaushal, who facilitated the interaction between the students and the industry representatives. The students actively participated in the visit and gained valuable practical knowledge and industry exposure. Principal Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar appreciated and motivated the students to make the most of such experiential learning opportunities. He also appreciated the efforts of the Industrial Cell in organizing the visit and encouraged the continuation of such industry-academia engagement activities in the future.
