NSS Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management in collaboration with Yoga and Meditation Cell celebrated the International Yoga Day on 20th June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members and staff. The event was organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and awareness about the importance of yoga in daily life. The programme commenced with a welcome address highlighting the significance of International Yoga Day. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar emphasized on the role of yoga in fostering a healthy and balanced lifestyle. He encouraged everyone to adopt yoga as a regular practice for enhancing physical health, reducing stress, and achieving mental peace.

A yoga session was conducted under the guidance of seasoned Yoga trainer Ms. Umang Singh, who demonstrated various yogasanas, and breathing exercises (Pranayama) for healthy ageing. The participants enthusiastically performed the exercises and gained valuable insights into their health benefits. Special emphasis was laid on the importance of maintaining proper posture, breathing techniques, and mindfulness during yoga practice. The session witnessed active participation from faculty members and staff, who appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to incorporating yoga into their daily routines. The event served as a platform to spread awareness regarding the holistic benefits of yoga and its contribution to overall well-being. The programme reinforced the message that yoga is a powerful tool for achieving harmony between the body, mind, and spirit and contributes significantly to a healthier and more productive society.
