The monthly meeting of the Book Club of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management was held on 16-02-2026 with enthusiastic participation from students across different classes. The session was chaired by Dr. Aashish Garg and coordinated by Ms. Esha Jain and Dr. Anchal Arora. The session began with a brief appraisal of the forthcoming activities planned for the semester. Students were reminded about the reading challenges and interactive sessions designed to further strengthen the culture of reading on campus. Since the common themed book had already been allotted to all members earlier, students were now informed that it was time to submit their written book reviews. The best review will be selected and published on the college website, thereby motivating students to engage deeply with the text and refine their critical thinking and writing skills. Several students shared their learning experiences gained through consistent reading practices. They highlighted how regular engagement with diverse books has not only enhanced their vocabulary and comprehension but also broadened their perspective on various social, cultural, and intellectual issues. Seven members presented the books they had recently completed, giving concise summaries and personal reflections. During the presentation session, Dr. Aashish Garg actively engaged with the presenters by asking insightful questions and offering his thoughtful reviews and constructive feedback, which enriched the discussion and encouraged deeper analysis of the texts. In addition, students suggested several creative activities such as peer-to-peer recommendation sessions and inviting guest authors for interactive talks. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal, appreciated the initiative and commended the efforts of the coordinators and students for actively promoting a vibrant reading culture within the college.
