The Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) of SACCM, in collaboration with HitBullsEye, organized a session on “From Classroom to Corporate: Building an Impactful Resume” on 10-02-2026. The session was conducted by Ms. Pearl Sohal, Soft Skills Trainer and Image Consultant, who shared practical insights drawn from current corporate expectations.
The session began with an explanation of the importance of a resume in professional life. It was highlighted that recruiters spend only a few seconds screening a resume, making it crucial for the document to be short, crisp, and result oriented. The speaker clearly differentiated between a CV and a resume, helping students understand their appropriate usage. Students were guided on key inclusions, common mistakes to avoid, and the relevance of tailoring resumes according to the targeted sector.
Special emphasis was laid on the STAR and CAR methods, demonstrating how structured frameworks help in presenting achievements effectively. An interactive activity based on these methods enhanced practical understanding. The session also covered how to present internships and extra-curricular activities, stressing that intent, learning attitude, and perseverance are critical, especially while applying for internships.
The Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, motivated students to continuously upgrade their professional skills and appreciated the initiative taken by CGPC, while commending the resource person for delivering an insightful and engaging session. Overall, the session proved to be highly informative and beneficial for students’ career development.
