Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, organised an industrial visit for the 3rd-semester students of B.Com to Madhur Knit Crafts Limited on November 18, 2025, as part of their industrial exposure programme. A contingent of 60 students participated in the visit, which aimed at helping students understand real-time industrial operations and connect classroom concepts with practical processes in the textile sector.

Students observed the entire production workflow, including fibre preparation, spinning, weaving/knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing. This hands-on experience enabled them to see how raw fibres are transformed into finished fabrics and blankets, while also understanding the coordination required between various production stages to maintain quality and efficiency.

The visit was accompanied by faculty members Mr Mahesh Kumar and Mr Arshdeep Singh, who highlighted the significance of industry exposure in strengthening students’ conceptual clarity and practical understanding. Students also interacted with technical staff and gained valuable insights into machinery operation, workflow management, and quality control procedures.

Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal of the college, appreciated the initiative and stated that such industrial visits are vital for broadening students’ perspectives and preparing them for future professional roles by exposing them to real workplace environments.
