On 13th November 2025, the College Library Advisory Committee conducted a training session on the ProQuest Database for first-semester B.Com and BBA students. The session was designed to help students develop the skills needed to access, search, and make effective use of credible academic resources and databases for research and coursework. The training was led by Mr. Arun Kumar Kalia, Senior Zonal Manager – Content & Technology Services, who shared valuable insights from his extensive experience in technology solutions. Participants learned that ProQuest provides access to high-quality scholarly content not available through general search engines. Students were guided on how to access the database both on and off campus and were trained in using Basic and Advanced Search features, filters, and Publication Search. The session also covered practical aspects such as downloading articles, using the citation tool, and accessing the audio-read feature. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session that greatly enhanced students’ practical understanding of database usage and reinforced their ability to conduct effective academic research.
