The College Library Advisory Committee organized a training session on the ProQuest Database for B.Com/BBA Third Semester and M.Com First and Third Semester students on 6th November 2025. The session aimed to equip students with the skills to access, search, and utilize credible academic resources effectively for research and academic assignments. It was conducted by Mr. Naman Kumar Bhardwaj (Senior Training Specialist & General Manager – Content Technology Services) and Mr. Arun Kumar Kalia (Senior Zonal Manager – Content & Technology Services). Both experts shared valuable insights drawn from their extensive professional experience in technology solutions. The training highlighted that ProQuest offers high-quality scholarly content not available on general search platforms. Students were guided on accessing the database both on and off campus and were trained in effective searching using Basic and Advanced Search, filters, and Publication Search. Additionally, participants learned to download articles, use the citation tool, and access the audio-read feature. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A session and proved highly beneficial in enhancing students’ practical understanding of database usage and promoting informed academic work.
