Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised an industrial visit for the students of BBA 3rd Semester to Vardhman Nisshinbo and Garments Limited on 31st October 2025, with Ms. Sheena Sharma and Ms. Ishika accompanying the group. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of the garment industry and its various operational departments. Ms. Shweta Sharma, Technical Trainer at the company, guided the students through different sections including Cutting, Stitching, Assembling, and Packaging, explaining the systematic workflow and the coordination among departments that ensures smooth production. She also shared valuable insights into the recruitment process and informed that the factory produces more than 7,000 shirts both formal and informal each day, demonstrating the scale and efficiency of operations. She further highlighted that the factory follows an inclusive employment policy, maintaining a workforce composition of approximately 80 percent women and 20 percent men, with the objective of empowering women within the industrial sector.
The students showed great enthusiasm, asked pertinent questions, and gained a deeper understanding of industrial practices and management processes. The visit proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enriching the students’ practical knowledge and complementing their academic learning. Through this visit, the students learned about real-world applications of production management, quality control, and human resource practices within a large-scale industrial setup. They also developed a better appreciation for teamwork, efficiency, and gender inclusivity in the workplace. The students expressed their sincere gratitude to
