Career Guidance & Placement Cell (CGPC) in collaboration with SACCM Alumni Association organized an expert talk on “Charting Your Future in the Capital Market” on 16th September 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Vedant Bagri, CFA, Senior Specialist, Equity/Fixed Income Research at S&P Global Market Intelligence and an esteemed alumnus of SACCM. Mr. Bagri shared his inspiring career journey, beginning with his pursuit of the CFA program, his initial professional exposure in derivatives, and later his current role at S&P Global. He provided valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available in the finance domain, including equity research, investment banking, risk management, and asset management. He also made a comparative analysis of various finance-related professional courses such as MBA in Finance, FRM, and CFA, elaborating on their scope, industry recognition, and students understand the nuances of selecting a suitable career path in finance. The interactive session concluded with a lively Q&A, where students posed queries regarding career progression, required skill sets, industry trends, and exam preparation strategies. Mr. Bagri patiently addressed each query, motivating students to pursue their aspirations with clarity and dedication. The session proved to be highly insightful, bridging academic learning with industry realities. Students gained a deeper understanding of career pathways in capital markets and the competencies required to succeed in the financial sector.
