To promote practical exposure and holistic development, the Industrial Visit Committee of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce & Management organized an industrial visit for the students of B.Com 5B to Vardhman Yarn and Thread Limited (VYTL), Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, on 19th August 2025. The students were accompanied by Dr. Robin Kaushal and Ms. Mehak Arora.
The objective of the visit was to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into yarn and thread manufacturing, including the dyeing and packing processes, the use of advanced textile production technologies, and the stringent quality assurance measures followed by the company. The session was guided by Mr. Shiv Kumar, who shared practical knowledge and highlighted the operational excellence of VYTL.
This exposure enabled students to connect theoretical concepts with industrial applications, thereby deepening their understanding of the textile sector at both national and global levels. The experience also offered them a closer look into the challenges, innovations, and opportunities prevalent in the textile industry.
Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, Principal, SACCM, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of such industry interactions in fostering academic growth, professional preparedness, and overall development of students.
Overall, the industrial visit to VYTL proved to be an enriching experience, contributing significantly to the students’ learning journey and equipping them with practical insights for their future careers.
