Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized an educational visit to IIM Amritsar on 7th November 2024. The objective of the visit was to gain a better understanding of business management and the courses offered by the institute, explore the campus facilities, interact with faculty and students, and learn about the institute’s unique approach to education and leadership.
The students attended an interactive session in IIM on the Future of Marketing by Prof. Sanket Vatavwala, one of the esteemed faculty members. The lecture covered contemporary issues in marketing such as augmented reality use in marketing, virtual reality in marketing, hologram usage, scope of brand management. He also gave insights about the teaching and evaluation methodology followed in IIM. He further gave a caselet of Wipro for explaining strategies for a brand to go global. The visit to IIM Amritsar was highly insightful, as it provided them with a firsthand look at life in a premier institute and motivated them to hone skills essential for future careers in business and leadership.
Students also visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The visit to the Golden Temple was not only a visual delight but also an emotionally enriching experience for the students. The day ended with dinner at Rangla Punjab, Jalandhar. The trip successfully combined education with cultural and spiritual enrichment, inspiring students to strive for excellence while staying grounded in values of empathy and respect.
