NSS Unit of SACCM in association with Red Arts Punjab organized a Nukkad Natak on the theme- Awareness on Drugs in the College Campus. Red Arts Punjab is performing theatre for society since 2014. The Nukkad Natak was titled- ‘Aakhir Kado Tak’ . The story revolved around the youth of Punjab engrossed in consumption of drugs. The story highlighted the plight of Punjabi households that are traumatized as their children are trapped in the shackles of drug consumption. The play accentuated that drug addiction is a chained process. The drug mafia plays with the young minds by serving them free drugs in the beginning and then once they are addicted to it, they charge exorbitant amounts ruining the physical as well as mental health of the youth. The actors “Deepak Niaz, Ravi Singhania and Khushpreet Bawa are worthy of appreciation for creating awareness among the students on Drug addiction. Principal Prof. (Dr) Vishal Kumar appreciated the content and invigorated the students to conduct more such activities for creating awareness about drug addiction. The event was well coordinated by Dr Jinesh Jain, Ms. Sarita Arora, Ms. Esha Jain and Mr. Ashish Bajaj.
