On 30th September, 2022, NSS Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management visited Red Cross Society’s- Baal Bhawan children’s orphanage and Swami Vivekanand Old Age Home. The visit to Baal Bhawan was organised to make the orphan children feel special and fortunate. The NSS team members conducted many activities such as Drawing Competition,Games and Singing and Dancing Competition. The best ones were given alluring gifts.At the end of the visit, everybody was all smiles and the team members gave a cheerful adieu to the children.
At Swami Vivekanand Old Age Home volunteers distributed eatables to senior citizens. The day was full of zeal and enthusiasm and the students learn to respect their elders and family members. Residents shared their life experiences with the volunteers and students came across the harsh realities of life. The volunteers were also introduced to Swami Vivekanand Pyramid meditation centre by Mr. Anil Bharti .
In a nutshell, it was a learning and life changing experience for the NSS volunteers who made a small effort to bring the smile on the faces of the old age home inmates and the cheerful children of Baal Bhawan.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar motivated the students to participate in such visits. The visits were coordinated by NSS faculty members- Dr. Jinesh Jain, Ms. Sarita Arora, Ms. Esha Jain and Mr. Ashish Bajaj.
