The primary objective of the session was to help students understand the concept of somatic therapy and how unresolved stress and trauma can manifest and remain stored within the body. 56 students took part in it. The session commenced with a detailed explanation of somatic therapy by the Psychologist, highlighting the mind–body connection, the physiological impact of trauma, and the importance of body-based therapeutic approaches in emotional regulation and healing.

Subsequently, the yoga expert elaborated on the practical application of somatic principles through yogic practices. She guided students through specific yoga postures and meditative techniques designed to release muscular tension, regulate the nervous system, and alleviate stress-related symptoms. Emphasis was placed on mindful movement, breath awareness, and grounding practices to promote overall well-being.

The session also included an interactive segment where students raised queries related to stress, anxiety, cervical discomfort, PCOD, and general physical tension. The yoga instructor addressed these concerns by recommending appropriate yogic postures and lifestyle suggestions tailored to these issues.

Overall, the session provided a holistic integration of psychological insight and yogic practice, offering students practical tools to manage stress and enhance mind–body awareness. The participants responded positively and actively engaged throughout the program.
