Parivartan Clun (Eco Club) of SACCM organised a meaningful and awareness-driven activity titled “River of Promises” on 25th March 2026 to celebrate World Water Day. The initiative aimed to sensitise students towards the importance of water conservation and encourage them to adopt sustainable water usage practices in their daily lives. The activity centred around student participation, where individuals were invited to write and share one meaningful promise reflecting their personal commitment to saving water. Students across various courses actively participated and expressed their ideas with great enthusiasm and responsibility. The promises, written with sincerity and creativity, were collectively displayed in the form of a symbolic “river,” representing a continuous flow of commitment towards preserving water resources.
The event successfully fostered awareness and encouraged students to reflect upon their everyday habits and their impact on the environment. It also promoted a sense of individual accountability and collective responsibility towards building a water-conscious society. Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar encouraged students to adopt water-saving habits and spread awareness, ensuring that future generations inherit a world where water remains abundant and accessible. He also highlighted that small, consistent efforts at the individual level can bring about significant change and urged students to become proactive contributors in building a water-conscious and environmentally responsible society. The event was efficiently organised and managed by Dr. Prerna Ahuja and Ms. Ishika Garcha.
