Tutorial System

Restructured Tutorial System (RTS)

(Based on teaching learning practices followed by Oxford University, U.K.)

To enhance personalized attention and provide greater opportunity for interaction between teacher and students, the tutorial system is being used as an effective pedagogic tool in SACCM. Tutorials are small interactive classes which give an opportunity to the teachers to amplify and explain the material delivered in classroom teaching, take up individual problems of the students and to facilitate discussion. It adds immense value into teaching as it creates in-depth learning by arousing extensive academic search, detailed discussion and understanding of the subject matter. Conventional tutorial system has an inherent problem of having students belonging to different levels of intelligence and academic caliber in one group. With an intent to increase the effectiveness of tutorials, the system has been restructured to include students of similar scholastic level and academic aptitude in one group.
