Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management on October 15, 2025, organised a session on the topic ‘Leading with Persistence and Vision’ under ‘Shape the Mind Programme.’ The resource person for the expert talk was none other than the celebrated speaker and a business magnate, Mr. Sachit Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Vardhman Special Steels Limited, Ludhiana. Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, extended a formal welcome to the speaker, and expressed the wish that more such meaningful sessions be organised for the students and faculty. He acquainted the gathering with the brilliance and eloquence of Mr. Sachit. Dr. Puja Jain introduced the distinguished scholarly Mr. Sachit Jain with her felicitating words. Then Mr. Jain started the session in his scholastic and lively style and greatly dwelt upon the power of youth in the modern times. He animated his lecture with pragmatic examples from day-to-day experiences. In his highly educative, informative and well packed lecture, he focused on the fact that the young students should cultivate in themselves the spirit of leadership by taking brave decisions. He said that you are the master of your fate, and you are the captain of your soul. He highlighted the importance of persistence, and vision, inspiring students to pursue their dreams with passion, determination and purpose. He advised the students that in order to be a good leader, one should not always toe the trodden path; rather be a good organiser and impact the fellow beings with critical faculties. He said, the greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. He further said that you will face many defeats in life but never let yourself be defeated. He took into his ambit examples from his visits to Japan and other countries. In order to be a forerunner, he exhorted the students to come out of their comfort zones. He further stated one should not wait for the change to happen, rather the change should always start from oneself. He narrated his own trekking experience and told the students to follow their heart and live life king size. He also said money can buy most of the things but not all the things. Mental health is the key to good life, and if you are happy only then you can be judicious in your decisions. He gave ample of examples from his college life. He said, live healthy and retire happily. The session was interactive in nature. Students posed a number of questions to the resource person, and every question was answered with superlative brilliance. The students were all acclaim for the brilliance of Mr. Sachit Jain. Mr. Sahil Ghai expressed his gratitude to the luminous speaker through vote of thanks. Mr. Vinay Dawar lent a great hand in making the session a success.
