Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management which is known for exceptional academics, theatricals and co-murals, organised a splendid inter college cultural fest ‘Rangmanch’, immersed in hallowed glory and grandeur on March 22, 2025. The ‘Rangmanch’ contends to drill in the young brains a hunger for the finer arts of dance and melody. The college always works to steer the young minds towards the holistic development. The fest set into motion with the grand spectacle of inauguration with lighting of the candelabra by Principal Dr. Vishal Kumar along with the Rangmanch team.
A brief introduction about the fest was given by Dr. Manpreet Kaur. Dr. Leenu Anand, Dr. Manpreet Kaur and Ms. Esha Jain compered the show in their charismatically majestic style. 22 performances from various colleges across the state made the show festive with their zealous participation. The Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Vishal Kumar warmly welcomed one and all to the college campus for this grand battle of music and dance. Dr. Vishal, in his address, urged the students to be more participative in the events that go beyond the classrooms so that they are fully prepared to face every challenge in a better way that comes in their path. He said, by performing in such events, students develop in themselves the spirit of teamwork and inculcate love for the stage and rich cultural heritage of the country. Then there was a presentation of devotional song by students of the college. After this, Ganesh Vandana, a classical dance performance, was given by the college dance teacher Mridul Rajpal that truly lighted up the auditorium.
‘Nritya Sangam’ was the next regaling event, and it was followed by singing competition ‘Surtarang’. Then there was guest performance by way of classical dance by SACCMites, and this was followed by Group dance competition which greatly enticed the audience. These performances were applauded by one and all. Then the SACCM students presented a soulful performance ‘Colours of India’, which bewitched everyone. This was followed by announcement of judgements, and prize distribution function. Vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Esha Jain. Last but not the least, rather the utmost, was the rendition of National Anthem. Thus came the grand and the gala show to a close. It must be mentioned here that the students through their mesmerising performances captivated the minds and hearts of the spectators. All were all acclaim for them. The winning participants were honoured with trophies and cash prizes.
Everything would smack of incompleteness if it is not mentioned that the untiring efforts of Sh. R.K. Rewari, secretary, college governing body, and the benevolent disposition of the worthy Chairman Sh. S. P. Oswal paved way towards the magnificence that the fest exhibited.
