Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, remains steadfast in its commitment to the holistic development of its students. The Independent Thinking Exercise is an activity that helps to intellectually stimulate participants, fostering critical thinking and encouraging them to form independent opinions and confidently expressing their viewpoints. The final level of the activity took place on February 5, 2025, centered on the thought-provoking topic, ‘Choosing a Career: Passion or Pragmatism?’ Participants were assessed on number of points, justification and conviction with which they articulated their perspectives. Students advanced through multiple stages of escalating complexity, showcasing their analytical acumen and persuasive skills. Finally, Gursimar Kaur (B.com 6A), Kunal Verma (BBA 6 B) and Nischay Sharma (BBA 4 B) were adjudged as the Best Independent Thinkers. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar commended the participants for their keen analytical and debating prowess, congratulated the winners, and shared his insights on the theme. He also lauded the dedicated efforts of the team, underscoring the significance of such initiatives in fostering constructive discourse, and nurturing self-reliance among students. The event was expertly coordinated by Dr. Puja Jain, Dr. Robin Kaushal, and Ms. Ashita Arora, ensuring its seamless execution and impactful delivery.
