Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana strives for the holistic development of the students. Independent Thinking Exercise aims at intellectually stimulating students to form their opinion about various issues and trust their own judgment. The college conducted the final level of Independent Thinking Exercise on 9th February, 2024 on the topic “Migration to Other Countries: Pain or Gain?”. The students were evaluated on the bases of number of points, justification, and conviction with which they put forth their views. After appearing in the preliminary round, students strived to win the competition by passing through various levels of difficulty. The students namely Pratham Sharma (B.Com 4 C), Kunal Verma (BBA 4 B) and Roohbani Kaur (BBA 2 B) were adjudged as the Best Independent Thinkers. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar applauded the thinking and debating skills of the students and congratulated the winners. He expressed his views on the theme and appreciated the efforts of ITE team. He emphasized the pivotal role of such activities that help to foster student engagement, promote constructive dialogue, and make them self-reliant. The activity was well coordinated by Dr. Puja Jain, Dr. Robin Kaushal, and Dr. Manpreet Kaur.
